(A)DELICIOUS Cooking with Adele Bites : French Toast with Amaretto

Adele Bites : Chef 

H αγαπημένη μας Chef, Adele Bites, εκμυστηρεύεται την συνταγή της για  μοναδικές γαλλικές φρυγανιές. Ακολουθείστε τις συμβουλές της κι ετοιμαστείτε να προσφέρετε μεγάλες συγκινήσεις στον ουρανίσκο σας!....

French Toast with Amaretto

Ingredients :

• 1 egg lightly beaten

• 2 tbsp amaretto drink

• 2 tbsp caster sugar

• 1 tsp vanilla essence

• ½ fltz tea fresh milk

• 4 slices of bread without crust, cut in half

In a bowl put the egg, sugar and vanilla and beat with wire.

Heat a nonstick pan with a little butter.

Dip bread in egg mixture on both sides and place in

pan . Bake for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown .

Serve with a mug  of hot coffee . If you want, you can

sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.

ΓΑΛΛΙΚΕΣ ΦΡΥΓΑΝΙΕΣ ΜΕ ΑΜΑΡΕΤΟ

ΥΛΙΚΑ:

• 1 αυγό ελαφρά χτυπημένο

• 2 κ.σ ποτό αμαρέτο

• 2 κ.σ ζάχαρη άχνη

• 1 κ.γ εσάνς βανίλιας

• ½ φλτζ τσαγιού φρέσκο γάλα

• 4 φέτες ψωμιού χωρίς κόρα κομμένες στην μέση

Σε ένα μπολ βάζετε το αυγό , την ζάχαρη και την βανίλια και τα χτυπάτε με σύρμα.

Ζεσταίνετε ένα αντικολλητικό τηγάνι με λίγο βούτυρο.

Βυθίζετε τα ψωμιά μέσα στο μείγμα του αυγού και από τις δύο πλευρές και τα βάζετε στο 

τηγάνι. Τα ψήνετε για 2 λεπτά από κάθε πλευρά μέχρι να πάρουν χρώμα.

Σερβίρετε τα φρυγανισμένα ψωμιά με ζεστές κούπες καφέ. Αν θέλετε μπορείτε να τις 

πασπαλίστε με λίγη κανέλα και  καστανή ζάχαρη.

(A)DELICIOUS : COOKING WITH ADELE BITES CREAM OF POTATO SOUP

Adele Bites : Chef

Cream of potato soup.

3 large potatoes diced
1 onion, diced
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
5 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
salt to taste

1 cup cream

1. Sauté the onion dices in the butter until they are tender and translucent but not browned. 
2. Add the flour and stir and cook until a soft paste has formed but not browned.
3. While still cooking, pour in 1/2 cup of the broth while stirring with a whisk.  Gradually add the rest of the broth, stirring to make the mixture smooth and not lumpy as if you were making gravy.  Continue cooking until the mixture is bubbly and has thickened.  Add the potatoes and thyme and cook for ten to fifteen minutes or until tender.  With a slotted spoon, remove about a third of the potatoes from the soup and set aside.
4. Pour two to three cups of the remaining soup into your blender.  Puree the mixture until it is smooth.  Continue in batches until the entire soup is puréed. 
5. Pour the soup through a strainer into a clean pan.  Press any piece through the sieve with the back of a spoon. 
6. Salt the soup to taste.  Add the cream.  If the soup needs further thinning, add water.  Reheat and serve.
7. Serve with Cheddar Cheese or bacon.

ΠΑΤΑΤΟΣΟΥΠΑ ΒΕΛΟΥΤΕ 

3 μεγάλες πατάτες σε κύβους

1 κρεμμύδι , κομμένο σε κύβους

Βούτυρο 3 κουταλιές της σούπας

2 κουταλιές της σούπας αλεύρι για όλες τις χρήσεις

5 φλιτζάνια  ζωμό λαχανικών ή κοτόπουλου

1/4 κουταλάκι του γλυκού αποξηραμένο θυμάρι

αλάτι για γεύση

1 φλιτζάνι κρέμα γάλακτος

Σοτάρουμε  το κρεμμύδι στο βούτυρο μέχρι να μαλακώσει και και να αποκτήσει ημιδιαφανή όψη , αλλά όχι να ροδίσει .

Προσθέτουμε το αλεύρι και ανακατεύουμε, και μαγειρεύουμε μέχρι να  σχηματιστεί μαλακή πάστα , αλλά όχι να ροδίσει .

Ενώ ακόμα μαγειρεύουμε , ρίχνουμε το 1/2 φλιτζάνι από το ζωμό ,  ανακατεύοντας με ένα σύρμα . Σταδιακά προσθέτουμε τον υπόλοιπο ζωμό , ανακατεύοντας για να κάνει το μείγμα λείο και όχι με γρουμπούλια,  σαν  σάλτσα . Συνεχίζουμε το μαγείρεμα μέχρι το μείγμα να είναι αφρώδη και έχει πήξει . Προσθέτουμε τις πατάτες και το θυμάρι και μαγειρεύουμε για δέκα με δεκαπέντε λεπτά ή μέχρι να μαλακώσουν . Με μια τρυπητή κουτάλα , αφαιρούμε περίπου το ένα τρίτο από τις πατάτες από τη σούπα και το βάζουμε στην άκρη.

Ρίχνουμε δύο με τρία φλιτζάνια από την υπόλοιπη σούπα στο μπλέντερ  . Πολτοποιούμε  το μείγμα μέχρι να γίνει λείο . Συνεχίζουμε σε παρτίδες μέχρι να γίνει η σούπα πουρές .

Ρίχνουμε τη σούπα μέσα από ένα σουρωτήρι σε ένα καθαρό τηγάνι . Πατάμε οποιοδήποτε κομμάτι έχει μείνει μέσα από το κόσκινο με το πίσω μέρος ενός κουταλιού .

Αλατίζουμε την σούπα μας. Προσθέτουμε  την κρέμα γάλακτος . Αν η σούπα χρειάζεται περαιτέρω αραίωση , προσθέτουμε νερό . Την ζεσταίνουμε και σερβίρουμε .

Μαθαίνουμε για την προσάρτηση της Κρήτης στην Ελλάδα , τη σύνθετη ιστορία της οινοποιίας και του συμβολισμού της, και φυσικά η ιστορία των δύο φύλων και πώς έχουν εξελιχθεί στη σύγχρονη ευρωπαϊκή κοινωνία !

10 . Το γέλιο είναι το καλύτερο φάρμακο
Μπορεί να υπάρχει πολύ κλάμα και γκρίνια , αλλά υπάρχουν και πολλά γέλια στην σειρά! 
Η Τζόυς Ευείδη και η Εβελίνα Παπούλια είναι οι καλύτεροι κόμικ χαρακτήρες, και προσφέρουν ανακούφιση μέσα σε αυτό το σύγχρονο δράμα του κρασιού και του πάθους !

Οι δύο κόκκινομάλλες  σειρήνες φέρνουν τα τόσο  απαραίτητα χαμόγελα και τα γέλια,  αποσπώντας μικρούς και μεγάλους από την καθημερινή φρίκη της τρέχουσας οικονομικής κρίσης .

11. Είπαμε δέκα αλλά...
Εντάξει είπαμε 10 λόγους , αλλά είναι τόσο καλή σειρά που  χρειαζόμαστε έναν ακόμα !

Εκεί που νομίζεις ότι  ξέρεις προς τα που κατευθύνεται η υπόθεση, κάποιος καινούριος χαρακτήρας εμφανίζεται για να δημιουγήσει ανατροπές!  ...
